Apply for Financial Aid

Get help paying for college tuition and other college fees. To apply for financial aid, you'll need to first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This will determine your eligibility for federal and state grants and some scholarships. You'll receive an award letter via email within about a week of submitting your application.

How we determine your financial aid amount

The Financial Aid Office estimates your yearly cost for college to determine how much financial aid you may receive. We use your housing type as reported on your FAFSA and your residency status as determined by the Office of Admissions to estimate your costs for tuition, room, board, fees, books, supplies and miscellaneous expenses. This estimate is based on full-time attendance for the fall and spring semesters. Your actual college costs may be more or less depending on how many credits you take, your housing expenses and other factors.

Calculate how much financial aid you will receive

Our Net Price Calculator can help you estimate how much you're likely to receive in financial assistance. It only takes a few minutes — you'll need to have an idea of your family's income and assets.

How to Pay Your College Tuition

Tuition and fees may be paid online at UAOnline or in person at the Office of the Bursar. Payment plans are available.

Taylor Swift WINS One For All Musicians

Taylor Swift WINS One For All Musicians

The mighty Apple has backed down after Taylor complained after she learned that musical artists were not going to be pay for the first 3 months on there new streaming service.

Eddy Cue, vice president of Apple even phoned Taylor to tell her that he's listening and will instead PAY artist for each download during the trail period.

He even posted on twitter, ‘We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Apple will always make sure that artist are paid.'

‘#AppleMusic will pay artist for streaming, even during customer's free trial period.'

Apple Music is set to launch worldwide at the end of June, with monthly subscriptions fees costing $9.99 for a single user or $14.99 for a family of up to six people.

Family

As an incentive the service will be free for the first 3 months so that users can try it out before joining.

Experts believe this could cost the company up to $4.4billion.

This is not the first time Taylor has spoken out about artists getting ‘ripped off', earlier this year she with drew her music from Spotify saying she wasn't being paid fairly.

She started her attack on Apple by posting this on Tumblr, ‘I find it to be shocking, disappointing and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company.'

‘This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success.

‘This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thought that the royalties from that would get them out of debt.'

‘This is about the producer who works tirelessly to innovate and create, just like the innovators and creators at Apple are pioneering in their field… but will not get paid for a quarter of a year's worth of plays on his or her songs.'

‘These are not the complaints of a spoiled, petulant child. These are the echoed sentiments of every artist, writer and producer in my social circles who are afraid to speak up publicly because we admire and respect Apple so much.'

Spotify Family Plan

‘Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing. I say this with love, reverence, and admiration for everything else Apple has done.'

‘I hope that soon I can join them in the progression towards a streaming model that seems fair to those who create this music. I think this could be the platform that gets it right.'

‘But I say to Apple with all due respect, it's not too late to change this policy and change the minds of those in the music industry who will be deeply and gravely affected by this.'

‘We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.'

Spotify Premium

Taylor has yet to comment on all this as she's now in Amsterdam where she has just started the European leg of her 1989 world tour.
